Who we are
OMEIDA TRADING 105 (registration number CK 2024/708695/07) is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. Our address is Unit 07, 2 Amaryllis Street, Fleurhof, Gauteng, 1709, South Africa.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us through the contact form:
- Your name
- Your company or organisation, if you provide it
- Your email address
- Your telephone number, if you provide it
- The service you are interested in, the subject and your message
For security and to limit abuse of the form, we also record the IP address the message was sent from and the browser identification string, at the moment of submission.
Why we collect it
Solely to read and respond to your enquiry, and to keep a record of enquiries received. We do not use your details for marketing, we do not sell or rent them, and we do not share them with third parties except where we are required to by law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for as long as is reasonably necessary to deal with the matter and to keep a business record of it. You may ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
Cookies
This website sets a single session cookie, and only when you use the contact form. It exists to protect the form against cross-site request forgery and to apply a submission rate limit. It carries no advertising or tracking identifier. We do not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Third party content
The contact page embeds a Google Maps frame so you can find our premises. When that map loads, Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies under its own privacy terms. No other third-party service is embedded on this website.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated on the server, stored using parameterised database statements, and protected against cross-site request forgery. Access to stored enquiries is limited to authorised OMEIDA personnel.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, or to complain about how we have handled your information, email info@omeida.co.za or call 011 493 8471.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
